AJAX Badge Logo - Open Source

A couple of days ago, I wrote a piece on AJAX Badges, and came up with a logo as part of the process.

AJAX Badges are designed to let non technical blog and Wiki authors add complex interactive tools to their posts.

Here is an open source version of the AJAX Badge Logo. Please use it in any way shape or form you like. I used Inkscape to create the Logo. Inkscape is an amazingly easy to use open source vector based graphics program. I use it on both my Windows laptop and my iMac. It works brilliantly on both.

The related SVG file: AJAX Badge Logo.svg. For some reason, this does not seem to render correctly in GIMP or in Firefox on the iMac, but it does load correctly into Inkscape.

The SVG file format is amazing. It’s just XML. You can open it up in TextMate, and find something that is human readable. Because the design is based on vectors, it can be increased or decreased to any size.
