The media storm around Microsoft’s uber-blogger Robert Scoble’s decision to leave Microsoft has been amazing. As a follow-up, Robert has got some great advice for Steve Ballmer, et al:

So, why is Microsoft stock price in freefall? Cause Steve Ballmer didn’t come to the grassroots and convince him that Microsoft’s business strategy makes sense

In other words, don’t focus on the market analysts, focus on your clients. For Microsoft, the real clients are not IT department heads. The real clients are the end users. These are same end users that bloggers like Scoble talk to every day.
