Perfect Example of A Professional Blog

Many people have asked me “How can blogging help my career?”   I have told them to think of their blog as an online resume that helps them both build a network and demonstrate their deep expertise in their field.

William Robison took that advice and has put together the perfect example of what a top notch professional blog should look like.  His blog is called Risk Ventures.   If you are interested in innovative ideas on risk, innovation and globalization, his blog is a great place to start.

For Bill, it is also a great online resume, which undoubtedly helps to build his network and his professional reputation.    If you want to use this medium to further your career, copying what Bill has done is a great way to begin.

Blog has changed the whole recruiting movement… certainly blogs can be a great source for presenting our resume in the most effective way…

Maybe I’m missing something, but every single post on Bill’s blog looks like it was cut from some other source and reprinted by Bill with little or no commentary from him.

If some of the commentary was from him, he needs to find a way to make it more clear what his value-added is.
